The Titans organization is (or soon will be) in rebuild mode and has holes to fill up at most positions. While they traded away their first round pick earlier in the season to make another run at the Cup, Trenton did pick up a few extra selections in the 2nd round of the draft. At the the draft, the Titans picked up two decent wingers in sniper Maxim Mayorov and the gritty, two-way Spencer Machacek; they were also able to nab the promising offensive defenseman Yannick Weber early in the 2nd round. With their other picks, Trenton selected two goalies, Trevor Cann and Alec Richards, and defenseman Ben Blood. All-in-all, it is a good start in the rebuilding of their prospect pipeline.

2009/06/01Trenton Titans - Facing the Future
The Trenton Titans are the most successful organization in the NHA's short history. They have won the Championship and been to the Conference Semi-Final two additional times. This is the club that has set the bar, as far as on-ice success is concerned, for the rest of the organizations in the league to follow. The Titans have a legitimate young offensive talent (Patrik Berglund) developing in their system; Berglund is the bright spot in an otherwise drab prospect pipeline. The cost of continuing the winning culture in Trenton over the last few seasons has been steep, as trades and low draft picks have resulted in a very shallow pool of young players.
Left Wing - The only young player that could make an impression here might be Joakim Lindstrom, who may get a shot with the club in a few seasons.
Center - Patrik Berglund should be viewed as the future of this franchise; he is a very good offensive player already and will only improve in the years to come.
Right Wing - There are a few project players playing RW in the Titans system. Petteri Nokelainen is likely the closest to getting a look with the parent club, though with a few years of development, Adam Pineault may find his game.
Defense - The Titans defense core is in their prime and signed for several years, which means plenty of needed development time for the organization's top defense prospects, Brian Streit, Dennis Persson, Mark Fayne and Andrew Archer; this is good because these players are projects and will likely develop slowly.
Goaltending - There really isn't a future #1 netminder developing in the system at the moment, which is something of a concern.
2007/02/23Titans 2004 Draft Review
The Trenton Titans sacrificed their first round pick to Florida in order to land Alexei Yashin for their ultimately successful pursuit of the franchise’s first Stanley Cup. That left the Titans with a lot of free time on this draft weekend before finally being able to choose defender Mark Streit (#56).
2008/04/01Titans 2005 Draft Review
With few selections in this season's draft, Trenton GM Arthur Gromko was going to be hard-pressed to add talented future contributors to the Titans, though he did take the opportunity to select blueliner Mark Fayne (#84 Overall), who has all the tools to be a full-time NHAer down the road.
